The Great Killingly Tomato Festival

Agricultural fairs have long stopped being what they should be.
Families reuniting.
Fathers relaxing with their children while mothers rest without.
 LOCAL performers and marching bands
surrounded by local merchants and entrepreneurs.
In an era where some agricultural fairs won't allow dogs on their grounds
the Great Killingly Tomato Festival is a refreshing hint at the origins of the crowded overpriced carnivals that pretend to be local today.

  1. I agree with you, no farmers around to share their produce. So where were the tomatoes ??

    1. There was an eleven vendor farmers market from 9-1 and several contests related to tomatoes. See www.killinglyagcommission.org for the lineup.

  3. I love it Jim those are the best fairs you can go to there aren't enough of them. I was on the Board of Directors of a fair and let me tell you it was all about money and not enough about the town it was being held in
