Jim Stahr has a Different Year

 It was not an exceptionally long cruise from Guam to Diego Garcia.  Despite the Mail Buoy Watches, we were not expecting to get any mail at sea.  But Nancy just said no to that, and delivered the "Zero Tolerance" propaganda along with mom's baked goods and lover's letters.

I noticed the sun popping.  Star of Bethlehem shined. Bearded Iris were visible.  Bleeding Hearts burst.  Buttercups were filled. Lilacs clung true.

Today's visit was to Yantic Falls , Click for larger view, there's people over there!  also known as Indian Leap .  It is one of many area parks related to natives .     The tale is of Narragansetts fleeing the Mohegans that attempted to jump this chasm to escape. It ended badly.   It is nice to be walking again .

 We stopped at Connecticut's Iwo Jima Memorial .  There is a new controversy .  I was happy this monument explained it was a second, larger flag .  Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan told us the scandal of Ira Hayes .
