Lows and highs.

Our guide showed us the hot and cold of Albuquerque.
We started our sightseeing in Rinconada Canyon, part of the Petroglyph National Monument.
A 2.5 mile trail doesn't sound like a lot
until one is half way and the soft sand is burning your soles while the sun and wind whisk every bit of moisture away.
After this it was time for water and a nap.
Upon waking we made our way to Sandia Crest.
Elevation 10, 678 ft. Temperatures dipped and I grabbed my jacket.
One is level with the clouds. Our guide warned us that rain would mean seeing only the tops of them. With wildfires burning in Santa Fe, we cheered when it briefly rained.
It cleared before our arrival.
Perhaps I should not mention how fun the drive up was. When we caught up to the sedan in front of us, we pulled aside to give ourselves room to play.
It is high enough that breathing is labored.
Or was that the view?
